Beginning Salutation

  1. Step out to your left into a meditating horse stance.
  2. Close into an attention stance.
  3. Step out to your left, legs straight and shoulder width apart and punch down with both hands together towards the floor.
  4. Bring your feet back together and bring your hands up to a prayer position.
  5. Push your hands out in front of you with your thumbs and first finger tips touching, making the sign of the three stages of learning.
  6. Drop your hands into a covered weapon position, your right hand a first and your left over.
  7. With your hands in this position drop them down below your belt.
  8. Step out to your left, legs straight and shoulder width apart and punch down with both hands together towards the floor.
  9. Close into an attention stance and bow.
